JeeLink (v1)

DSC_0449.jpg

The JeeLink is a small module in the shape of a USB stick, with an Atmel ATmega processor and a HopeRF wireless radio.

Differences with the JeeNode:

  • the size of the JeeLink differs slightly from the JeeNode
  • the FTDI connector is replaced by a USB plug and on-board FTDI chip
  • the I2C / PWR and SPI / ISP headers are in a slightly different position
  • two extra A6 and A7 analog lines are brought ought to additional pads
  • there are two LEDs to signal RX and TX activity
  • the JeeLink has a reset button right next to the USB plug
  • the resonator has been replaced by a crystal for improved time accuracy
  • all compontents are surface-mounted instead of through-hole
  • apart from these differences, the JN3 Specs lists further details
